ICT4GP PROGRAM
The Program “Strengthening Procurement Systems in Latin America and the Caribbean through the use of ICT tools and the promotion of MSME participation” (ICT4GP) is a joint project funded by the Inter American Development Bank (IDB) and the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) with the support of the Organization of American States (OAS).
The program has two components. The first, supported by IDRC, is led by the Universidad Nacional de San Martín, Argentina (UNSAM) and focuses on regional research on key topics in the area of procurement reform. The program’s main objective is to seek and promote best practices, and to increase the participation of MSMEs in public procurement systems through increased efficiency, transparency, common standards and new ICT’s.
The second component, funded by IDB, will support national level projects in which some of the best practices identified are implemented by national governments.
The research activities promoted by the program will take the form of Calls for Proposals. Through these we seek to promote regional research in Public Procurement helping to build and strengthen an academic network working within this field.
Within the first of these activities, we invite you to participate in the call for proposals: “The Political Economy of the Public Procurement Reform in Latin America”. For more information you can download the folloeing file:
